How to Choose Granite Wall Caps

Match the cap width to the wall width plus the overhang you want on each side, choose a thickness that suits the wall's scale, then pick a finish — thermal, sawn or split — that matches the wall and surrounding stone.

Practical guidelines: - Overhang: a modest overhang on each face gives a clean shadow line and helps water drip clear of the wall. - Thickness: heavier caps suit taller or rustic walls; thinner caps suit low seat walls. - Joints: plan cap layout so joints fall away from corners and steps where possible. - Finish: thermal is uniform and slightly textured; sawn is smoother; split reads more rustic.
